it appears $200 max per session is in effect (edited to reflect new T&C)
Speaking solely from my own experience. My first 2 transactions’ rebate amount was around $240. My 3rd transaction’s rebate amount was around $100, but during the final checkout via paypal, I got an error message saying “request cannot be processed at this time” but the paypal still deducted the amount regardless and I never received the CashBack message from eBay stating my Cash Back unlike my first 2 transactions. So be careful not to exceed $250 total rebate amount.

If you’re a TWC/RR customer and you’re unable to access the Get Cash Back button in My Message to create your account, do this:

1) Goto http://ww23.rr.com/prefs.php (or whatever redirection service is for your area). You can also find this out by typing tracert cashbackaccount.search.live.com on a cmd box and use the IP addresss of the last server hit.

1) How long does it take for the CashBack to show up as pending?
It takes 24-48 after you complete the transection for the Cash Back show up in account.

2) How does the CashBack link to your live.com account?
When you open live.com account its linked to your eBay and paypal via eBay.

3) Can I search for something say “Wii” and buy something else on eBay and still get CashBack.
Yes (unless MSFT/eBay change the rules).

4) How do I know if I am eligible for the 10% off coupon?
If eBay sent you an email to your registered eBay email address or if you can see the 10% off coupon on the eBay homepage, then you are eligible.

5) How do I “cash out” my available CashBack balance?
60 days after purchase, you can withdraw CashBack funds ONLY through paypal. ( No Check / Bank account option ) It will take an additional 7 days for the CashBack to appear in your paypal account.

6) Does it work for Auction items?
No, this only works for But it Now (BIN) items and only when you pay with Paypal. Third party checkouts do not qualify for CashBack.

7) Does your Microsoft CashBack email (live.com login) have to be the same as your eBay account?
No, it can be anything (preferably your paypal email).

8) Can I have more than 1 eBay account? Can I use the same paypal account for all my eBay accounts?

This is a gray area. Many fw members are reporting they are not seeing pending CashBack in their live accounts. The eBay T&C’s do not, however, explicitly exclude eBay motors from the offer.

A FEW UPDATES:
1) Users are reporting problems with registration and invalid security certificates with Firefox. Run Microsoft web code on a Microsoft browser for best results.

2) Many users are reporting missing CashBack entries in their CashBack account, even though they believe to have followed the rules & procedures exactly. YMMV.

3) Some users are reporting difficulty in getting response and resolution to issues through LIVE.com support. YMMV

4) Some users are reporting that Live.com/eBay/Paypal are “evolving” their interpretation of the terms & conditions, particularly for currency and bullion.

5) Once you link an eBay account with a live account by clicking the eBay message from your first CashBack purchase, you cannot change it. Every following CashBack purchases from that eBay account will go to the live account you have first linked it to. You do not have to click the CashBack button in the eBay message for the #2~#6 transactions.

3 aspects of the Touch Diamond

1. Boost TFL3D Performance –> Using Advanced Config, change File system cache to 8mb and file system filter cache to 131072

2. Wake Up on New SMS –> HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL : DisableSMSWakeUpEvent <– set to “1″ by default. Change value to “0″

3. Switch Mute Call on phone flipped face down: HKLM\Software\HTC\PHONE : FaceDownMuteRing: change value to “0″

4. Change CallWaiting Tone –> HKLM\Software\HTC\PHONE : by default set to \windows\waitingtone.wav by default. change to anything else

5. Boost TFL3D Scrolling Speed –> - HKLM\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE\limit = 16384 or 32768 (DWORD decimal)
- To change it back to the default: - HKLM\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE\limit = 8192 (DWORD decimal)

6. In case of emergency, to do a Hard Reset, with the phone ON, hold down the Volume Down and Enter (round navigation) keys and press soft reset while they are pressed

7. Prevent screen switching off during phone call –> HKEY_Local_Machine\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\EnableFastD ormantDisplayDuringCall to 0

BlackBerry Useful Tips & Tricks (updated frequently)

I will gather all the useful codes/tips/tricks for all BlackBerry models from various sources in this post. Please feel free to post any relating question/comment/correction or if you want to add any tip to this collection. Although, most of the below tips have been tried at our shop, we will not be held responsible for any damage caused. TRY THEM WITH YOUR OWN RISK!

*Top 20 Tips for BlackBerry:

  1. To move the cursor in a different direction, hold the Alt key and roll the trackwheel.
  2. To type an accented or special character, hold the letter key and roll the trackwheel. When the desired character appears, release the letter key.
  3. To switch to another application, hold the Alt key and press the Escape button. Continue to hold the Alt key and select an application. Release the Alt key to switch to that application.
  4. To exit a screen or dialog box, press the Escape button.
  5. To change an option field, hold the Alt key. Click a value.
  6. To move directly to an item in an options list or menu, press the first letter of the item.
  7. To select a check box, press the Space key. To clear the check box, press the Space key again.
  8. To select a line of text, press the Shift key and roll the trackwheel.
  9. To cut selected text, press the Shift key + the Backspace key. To copy selected text, press the Alt key and click the trackwheel. To paste text, press the Shift key and click the trackwheel.
  10. To capitalize a letter, hold the letter key until the capitalized letter appears.

How to enter Unlocking Codes for LG Phones for Various U.S Carriers.

Below are instructions that work for most network providers.

How to Unlock LG (most models):

1:Insert not-allowed SIM card
2:Power on the handset- phone will display “phone restricted”
3:Select “Cancel” - phone will display “phone restriction code”
4:Enter the SIM unlock code
5:Select “OK” - the handset is now successfully unlocked

How to Unlock LG KG245 (Vodafone Australia)

1:Insert a Vodafone Australia working SIM card.
2:Ensure the phone is charged and then switch the phone on.
3:Optional Step: If the SIM card has a PIN, enter your PIN number
4:Wait for the phone to power up then enter 2945#*7101#
5:Select Menu , then go to Settings > Security > SIM Lock > Network
6:Select Deactivate and enter the 8-digit unlocking code provide for your handset.
7:The handset will be unlocked automatically and will display “Done”. This will be confirmed if you can make and receive calls with the Non-Vodafone Australia SIM card. (You will need reception and phone credit with the different network provider)

How to Unlock LG KG800 or TG800 Chocolate:

1:With the phone in standby, enter 2945#*7101#. This will activate the extra menu.
2:Go to: Settings>Security>SimLock>Network

3:Select deactivate. Enter the unlock code,

How to Unlock LG C2000:

Insert non-Cingular SIM card

1:Power on the handset - phone will display “phone restricted”
2:Select “Cancel” - phone will display “phone restriction code”
3:Enter the SIM Unlock code
4:Select “OK” - the handset is now successfully unlocked

How to Enter Unlock Codes on LG F2250:

1:With allowed sim card in the start menu type: 2945#*3311#.

2:Handset shows saved, then return to startup screen
3:Press Menu key, choose Settings > Security > Sim Lock> Network eactivate, handset will now show ‘Enter NCK’
4:Enter your unlock code and OK.

How to Enter Unlock Codes on LG U8150:

1:Switch ON your phone with a not allowed SIM card.
2:Compose: 277634#*#.
3:Go to menu “SIM Lock”.
4:Enter the unlock code, which you can buy any online store .

How to Enter Unlock Codes on LG U8110:

1:With a not allowed sim card in your phone enter Pin code then validate, type: 277634#*#
2:Select ‘Sim Unlock’ menu #
3:Enter NCK code then validate
Your phone is now unlocked.

How to Enter Unlock Codes on LG U8210:

1:With a not allowed sim card enter Pin code then validate, type: 277634#*#
2:Shows test menu
3:Choose sim test menu and type: 2945#*#, choose Sim Unlock menu
4:Handset shows ‘Enter NCK’
5:Enter code, then hit OK.

How to Enter Unlock Codes on LG U81xx:

1:To bring up the unlock menu on the phone with a SIM card, type 2945#*88110#
2:Enter the code
In case you need to reset the phone without a SIM card first, type 277634#*# or 47328545454#.

How to Enter Unlock Codes on Cingular AT&T LG CU500:

1:Insert non-Cingular SIM card.
2:Power on the handset. Phone will display “Invalid SmartChip”
3IF THE PHONE DOES NOT DISPLAY INVALID SMARTCHIP, PLEASE POWER OFF AND ON AGAIN)
4:In Idle screen, enter 159753#*#. Phone will display “Enter NCK, Remaining 5
5:Enter the 8 digit SIM unlock code, which you can buy any Oline phones.
6:Select “OK”. The handset is now successfully unlocked

How to Enter Unlock Codes on all other LG cell phones:
Switch ON your phone with an allowed SIM card
Then compose:

How to Enter Unlock Codes on all other LG U400 Shine (2 codes needed):

1:Insert the network SIM in the handset which works with the phone (from the locked carrier).
2:Enter 2945#*88110#.
3:The phone will then prompt ‘Unlock sim’. Press OK.
4:The phone will then prompt ‘Network Unlock’. Press OK.
5:The phone will then prompt- ‘Input Network Control Key’. Enter the 8 digit unlocking code. Press OK. If the unlocking code comes with only 7 digits, add a 0 in front of the 7 digit code. If the unlocking code comes with only 6 digits, add 00 in front of the 6 digit code. If you received a 16 digit code, enter it. The phone will have space for it.
6:It should give you the message: Success.
7:Come back to the main screen and Enter 2945#*88110#.
8:The phone will then prompt unlock sim. Press OK.
9:The phone will then prompt Network Unlock/ Lock but if you scroll down
10 :you will see a message Enter SP Lock. Enter SP Code.
Then press OK.

How to Enter Unlock Codes on all other LG KE970 Shine:

1:Switch ON your phone with an allowed SIM card
2:Then compose: 2945#*9701#
3:Press CALL.
4:It should you ask you for the code.

How to Enter Unlock Codes on all other LG TU720 Shine:

1:Put in a non-allowed SIM, phone says invalid SIM card
2:Now enter *#865625# then enter your 16 digits code.

How to Unlock LG KG800 Chocolate Without a Code (not reliable):

1:Insert SIM from the network that it is locked to.
2:Turn on phone.
3:On home Screen, slide up phone.
4:Type 2945#*#
5:ENG. Mode menu should appear.
6:Go Down to Factory Reset. Select it. May take a few minutes to reset!
7:This will reset the phone back to before the phone was locked to a network.
8:The phone will automatically restart (the network logo at start up will not change).
9:Now insert any SIM card and the phone should turn on normally
10:The phone is now unlocked and you can customize the setting as you like

How to Unlock LG Vu CU920

LG Vu CU920On the AT&T Network, to unlock the LG Vu or CU920, it’s pretty simple:

  • Put a AT&T or Cingular SIM in the phone; it does not have to be an active SIM
  • Enter *#865625# then the 16 digit unlock code*
  • Device should say: Network Lock Deactivated
  • Phone may automatically reboot

*The 16 digit code can be obtained by calling AT&T Technical Support and given the representative the IMEI number. In exchange they will give you the Subsidy Unlock Code.
